Point Deroche

Positioned just along the north eastern shores of the beautiful Prince Edward Island, is the scenic community of Point Deroche. Interconnected by the Point Deroche Road (Highway 218), this bustling town is one of the key agricultural chains of the Prince Edward Island. First settled in the late 1700, when a group of English sailors reached the shore line with hundreds of ships and decided to a build community. Reminiscent of its past, the Point Deroche, still have English styled cottages and tents that can be found right along the shoreline.

Home to a long stretch of beautiful beaches and wet water lakes and ponds, this makes the Point Deroche a prime tourist destination. The white sand and the blue sea that surround the entire island can be experienced with a guided tour of the entire island. Just a few clicks from the beach is the Point Deroche Pond. This is a truly delightful freshwater pond that is uninhabited on most parts of the year. The crystal clear blue water is surrounded by green marsh land and alder bushes. The lake is home to some of most beautiful fishes and just around the mellow bushes, you will also notice numerous otters bidding their time.
