Your Guide to the Souris Beach

The Souris Beach, located on route 2, is a day-use park. It is situated outside the town of Souris. The beach features an unsupervised beach with miles of clean sand stretched along the waterline. The benches along the shore are clean and not littered with packages. Catching on the magnificent view of the sunrise and sunset, sitting on one of these benches, is what you will cherish for years to come.

The beach sports a huge playground equipped with all the elements of fun for the children. Amenities like showers, Laundromats, flush toilets are all lined up near the shore for the convenience of the tourists. The washrooms are specially designed for allowing easy access of people on wheelchairs.

Some fabulous water sports are also at large in the Souris Beach. Canoeing and kayaking are very common, owing to the presence of ocean. Paddling a canoe towards the evening is a pleasant ride, amidst light breeze and dimming light of the approaching twilight. The beach is also a great site for windsurfing. Professionals from over the world flock down here to practice surfing. Pets are also permitted in this beach, but only on leash for the safety of the tourists.
Ten minutes down the road, you will find hotels, restaurants, food, hospitals, gas, exercise facilities, souvenir shops, liquor stores, tourist information centers, etc. all within reach. You can gorge on some of the lip smacking sea foods and lobster dishes served in the restaurants here. The best time to visit the beach is either during winter or spring.
